Dear NCSY NJ TJJ Bus 6 Family,
Finally emerging from the 9 days of mourning that culminated in Tisha B’Av our bus was able to enjoy a fun and meaningful packed day. We started off with a beautiful hike in the Judean desert named Ein Prat and we were surprised to be able to swim in a cool pool of fresh spring water in the middle of the desert.
We then enjoyed lunch at Mitzpeh Yericho and learned a tremendous amount at the house of Rabbi Uri Pilichowsky. We then were inspired and amazed by the heroism of the Israeli paratroopers during the six day war portrayed at the Ammunition Hill museum in Jerusalem.
