Dear NCSY NJ TJJ Bus 6 Family,
We started our day visiting a Jewish Fair – programs and organizations presented our group different options and resources available for high schoolers and beyond.
We also heard from Neil Lazarus about modern Israeli politics and provided a deeper understanding of the Arab-Israeli conflict. After a delicious lunch we went to visit Machon Maayan, a women’s seminary for post-high school study. While the girls engaged in studying Jewish texts, the boys applied their fine motor skills and made they’re own tzitzit.
Our day concluded with Yom NCSY. All 17 NCSY Summer programs, with over 1,400 teens came together for a night of food, friends, and tons of fun. With performances by a popular Israeli a cappella group and Mordechai Shapiro, we sang and danced until late into the night.
